The franchise has retained Virender Sehwag and got another batsman to open with Sehwag, Dave Warner and they are one of the strongest and lethal opening attacks in the whole IPL and they will be eager to show the world that they are more than just and ordinary team. Virender Sehwag is the Captain of the team and he is kind of a batsman which can pull big crowds and win matches on his own.

Delhi has some very good players in the squad and with Sehwag and Warner opening the innings they will be looking to use the advantage of batting first and put great totals on the board and they can defend with some really good bowlers in the squad with the likes of Morne Morkel, James Hopes and Irfan Pathan were bought as all-rounder options
