Pakistan vs Australia 1st T20 Preview – UAE 2012
Australia and Pakistan will face each other again in the First T20 Match in Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday 5 September 2012. Pakistan has lost the ODI series to Australia with 2-1. Both teams are quiet confidence about their preparation for the T20 match as this can be proved a good practice match for the both teams before T20 World Cup 2012. The cricket boards of both official teams are thinking to have some nominal changes in the team to try some of the strategies before international event. The Aussies, currently ranked a lowly 9th in the shortest format of the game will be keen to cash in on the momentum and prove to their detractors that they are a force to reckon with in T20′s also. The green army, who faltered at the crunch moments in the series deciding ODI at Sharjah will look to come out with all guns blazing when the two teams resume hostilities in first the T20 at Dubai on Wednesday, September 5th. With both teams armed with plenty of game-changers, a sumptuous dessert is on the platter for the fans.
Australia:
Michael Clarke hopes his batsmen will continue to show improvement against Pakistan’s spinners when the teams clash in the first twenty20 international in on Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday 5 September 2012. In conditions conductive to spin, Mitchell Starc has been a revelation. Teenage tearaway, Pat Cummins could swing the ball prodigiously and force the opposition to yield. However, his fitness has been under the microscope ever since he made his debut. Ben Hilfenhaus’s pinpoint accuracy and teasing away going deliveries cannot be ignored. Much will depend upon, Brad Hogg’s bag of tricks. The 41 year old’s left arm chinaman is a rare skill backed up by a truckload of experience and a powerful weapon in the wrong’un. Never the one to back down from a fight, Hogg is the epitome of the never say die Aussie spirit.
Pakistan:
Pakistani players did not play well enough as compared to Australian players as in the 1st and 3rd match there was a lot of lack of performance in the match from green shirts. I can say that only the Spinner side of Pakistan was strong enough and even consistent which turn Australian player to the difficulty mode with extreme hard in the first match. Well it is expected that Misbah-ul-Haq (Captain of Pakistan Team) will make a strong strategy for against Michael Clarke (Captain of Australian team). Shahid Afridi and Abdur Razzaq add depth to the Pakistan line-up. Their firebrand aggression makes them pure match-winners. Watch out for Afridi’s fizzers and Razzaq’s slower balls. Their varied bowling attack hands Pakistan that edge. Spin wizard, Saeed Ajmal, who snared 10 wickets in the ODI series has been the green army’s Go-to man. His heroics in the SLPL also bodes well for the team. Dropped for the ODI’s, Umar Gul will be focused to garner accuracy and remind the world of his marauding toe-crushers. There will be a two way tussle between Sohair Tanvir and Mohammad Sami for the second seamer’s spot.
